Healthy Paws Medical Fund
Providing the medical care they deserve.
Absolutely no pet should go without proper medical care regardless if they have a home or are stray or homeless. Through generous donations and the sale of items A Helping Paw is able to provide basic and often life-saving medical care. Thanks to our Healthy Paws Medical Fund many pets who nearly lost their lives have a new lease on life.

Our program offers partial financial assistance to low-income pet owners with a priority for seniors and those with chronic health issues. If you think you may qualify please complete our form below.
*Please note funding is provided to those pets in most urgent need first and depending on what funding is available at the time. As a small, volunteer run organization there is no guarantee on how much if any funding we can provide. this is based on the generosity of pet lovers and businesses who care enough to support this life-saving program.

In early June, 2019 Claus kitty from Plymouth suffered a horrific accident. He was found with severe head and face trauma leading to near blindness in one eye and a broken jaw.
Without surgery he would lose his life. The cost of his critical care, x-rays, blood panels ultrasound & surgery was estimated at $5,000. Thanks to some truly generous donors AHP was able to raise $1,700, a portion of the funds needed to get his life-saving surgery.
After a long recovery period he was finally able to have his feeding tube removed. The next step is a 2nd surgery to remove the wires in his jaw. And while he looks adorable with his little 'buttons' we know he is excited about leaving them behind to start his new life as a 'normal' kitty. Days full of love, happiness and plenty of naps with pleasant dreams.
We hope you will consider making a donation to help cover a portion of Claus' medical care. Should we raise more than needed (always a wish come true) remaining funds will go back in to our 'Care Fur Angels' fund to help another pet in urgent need.
